Welcome to Make A Move Life Counselling (MMLC). My name is Radinka Jeyathas and I am the Founder, Owner and Head Clinician & Consultant.
Accepting Clients; No Waitlist - I help you see your brain's thinking patterns and create changes to transform your relationships with yourself and others. I guide you into accessing the knowledge you hold, connecting it to your present day self, and creating a new knowledge base rooting in valuable connections (neuro-psychotherapy). To achieve this, I use neurodevelopment and neuroscience, with a trauma-informed lens, along with attachment theory, psychodynamic social work, neuro-psychotherapy, ecotherapy, self-centering, unique and individualized assignments, case management, and reframing.
I have over 10+ years of experience working across the province of Ontario, providing psychotherapy, counselling, consulting, and social work services (advocacy and case management) as a Canadian-Sri Lankan Tamil, Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW no. 832156). Within the Greater Toronto Area, I worked with individuals and their families who were street-involved or in the Canadian justice system. Many of these individuals and families are Black, LGBTQ2A+, and racialized individuals with intersectional identities. My work of advocacy, resource connection, and counselling helped provide support by connecting them back to their communities of choice, and to their individual selves, by building support systems they could rely on once services were completed. This empowered and developed their sense of self as they navigate the Canadian systems while minimizing barriers as they continued to learn and grow into their lives.
Within my practice, I use neurodevelopment and neuroscience, with a trauma-informed lens, along with attachment theory, psychodynamic social work, neuro-psychotherapy, ecotherapy, self-centering, unique and individualized assignments, case management, and reframing as guides to help you experience empowerment, improvement, and a strong, independent connection to your self-identity.
Through MMLC, I guide individuals, couples, and families to connect with the evidence and knowledge gained from their experiences to transform their relationships with themselves and others. Come to my practice if you want to experience the three MMLC guiding principles that will restructure your thinking patterns and your mind.
The three, self-created, MMLC guiding principles:
1. You are the expert in your experiences.
2. I guide you into hearing what is being held outside of your expertise.
3. By using the basics of neurodevelopment and neuroscience (neurogenesis & neuroplasticity) to strengthen your neural networks.
*The cyclical nature of this process allows you to continue learning on your own and build authenticity into your future through intentional neural connection and development.
*All frameworks are used as guides only.
